Paul Adams LLB (Hons) – Consultant & Trainer
Paul Adams – Consultant, Trainer, Mentor, Governance Warrior and Dog Lover
Paul has worked in the Data and Information Governance Industry for over 25 years; a personable, enthusiastic and knowledgeable trainer and consultant he brings a wealth of experience and real-world examples to his courses.
Originally from London, Paul was heavily involved with third sector organisations such as Christian Aid and War On Want. In 1990 Paul was one of the founder Directors of ADMAR Support Services a highly respected Specialist Data Agency, and over the years has been involved in many interesting data projects.
Paul holds a number of legal qualifications and has experience in consulting and training in a wide range of sectors and industries; clients include the public, private and third sectors and range from micro SME’s to multi-nationals, and small Charities through to Public Authorities and the education sector. Paul is often asked to train for other organisations and is an associate trainer for Salford university OneCPD.
In 2014, together with Mike Martin, Paul transferred the Training and Consultancy side of ADMAR to the Griffin House Consultancy and continue to help their clients with their Data Protection and Information Governance requirements.
Paul has always been keen to volunteer his time to good causes, and in the past has been a volunteer Mentor for Lincoln University, was a member of the St John Ambulance for over 25 years, where he taught first aid and crewed front-line ambulances, and over the last few years as an unpaid Trustee of the Broadbent Theatre, a local charity focused on the performing arts which provides an outlet for young people.

Mike Martin LLM – Consultant, Auditor & Trainer
Mike Martin – Passionate Consultant, Awesome Auditor and Energic Trainer – oh, and mad about dogs too.
Mike Martin is a qualified and experienced Information Rights Privacy Professional. In 1990 after leaving the Metropolitan Police where he worked at New Scotland Yard as a civilian, he co-founded ADMAR Support Services. Mike was the IT Director of ADMAR for 24 years and was part of many exciting innovations and experienced the fast pace of technological change at first hand.
With responsibility for the management and security of millions of sensitive records, Data Protection, Information Governance and auditing was at the heart of everything Mike did.
In addition to being a qualified privacy professional Mike was a SQL programmer and has all round IT knowledge which proves invaluable during client risk assessments and audits.
Consulting in, and teaching about data protection is Mike’s passion, however, his second love is NLP. As an NLP Master Practitioner Mike uses his language skills to quickly gain trust at every level of an organisation and is able to explain complex legal theories in easy to digest ways. Mike has a key interest in the third sector and in the past has been a volunteer Mentor for Lincoln University, The Princes Trust, was a member of The Business Professors Network and the St John Ambulance. Mike is also an unpaid Trustee and Treasurer of the Broadbent Theatre, a local community theatre.
Mike audits and consults regularly to the private, public and third sectors and has been a Data Protection Officer (DPO) for national charities, quoted PLCs, corporate entities, and fast paced start-up tech companies. His wealth of experience, passion and enthusiasm for Data Protection and Information Governance combined with his teaching and mentoring skills places him at the heart of the Griffin House Consultancy team.

Key attributes
Mike prides himself on his professionalism, energy, ethics and integrity. When performing audits his relaxed style instantly puts clients at ease but his attention to detail and forensic questioning leaves no stone unturned. When training he uses humour, and a wide range of NLP techniques to bring a dry subject to life and make complex subjects easy to understand.
