The Challenge
As a long established law practice Chatterton’s holds over twenty years’ worth of manual paper files, and they had to marry the need to manage this historical information with the new obligations introduced by the GDPR legislation.
Due to Bev Robinson’s (Risk and Compliance Director) previous experience of working with Mike and Paul, she had no hesitation in recruiting them for data compliance support to guide Chattertons through the process.

The Solution
Bev initially went on Griffin House Consultancy’s six-day course. “I came away with lots of helpful pointers. It was an open course but I could still ask specific questions and they gave detailed examples which really helped my understanding in relation to our practice. They
went above and beyond to make it coherent.”
Griffin House Consultancy were then commissioned to deliver audit training to some of Chattertons’ fee earners. This took them through looking at an audit, what to look for and the areas to focus on.
Bev added that what stood out since the training is the follow up support Griffin House Consultancy provided. “The communication after you’ve worked with them is really good. It is very reassuring to know that they are there to provide guidance when needed.”

The Outcome
Thanks to the support of Griffin House Consultancy Chattertons is confident they are abiding by both the EU and UK GDPR legislation giving them and their clients peace of mind.
Griffin House Consultancy continue to be the firm’s ‘go-to’ source for data compliance.
Data protection isn’t the most exciting of topics, but Mike and Paul have made it interesting and fun with their engaging and interactive courses and training. They are specialists in their field who are knowledgeable and helpful, and we would highly
recommend them to other firms looking for support with their data protection processes”.
