The Challenge
MPS knew the standard to which they wished their Data Reps to be raised required a new bespoke training program to be created, and because of the number of Data Reps, 36 individual sessions had to be delivered. In addition, MPS wanted the workshops to be available to train future Data Reps and ensure that the materials would not be UK or EU focused so that colleagues based across all markets would feel included and gain value from the workshops.
The Solution
GHC have supported MPS over many years with various training assignments, from certified Level 2 courses to general workshops. MPS having been impressed with the technical knowledge, experience and specialist training skills of GHC, once again reached out to for assistance with this latest project.
In collaboration with the MPS DPO Team, Mike Martin, the senior data protection consultant and trainer at GHC devised a program of 12 workshops of 1 hour each. A bespoke set of workshop slides were created, and sessions recorded, which were then edited to provide a library of training resources for future Data Reps.
A perpetual licence was issued so that MPS could use the materials to train their global workforce.
The Outcome
The project was a great success with the Data Reps gaining additional knowledge, insight and understanding which ultimately increased their confidence levels. From a company perspective having global Data Protection Ambassadors in every department further protects the highly sensitive and confidential data held by the organisation.
We enjoyed working with Mike and Paul and Griffin House consultancy to support and further develop our specialist Data Protection representatives. They took the time to understand what we wanted and designed and delivered perfectly to our brief, including all the topics we wanted and needed.
