Level 2: Foundation Data Protection Course

13th December 2023 Perfect for individuals with greater responsibility for data processing, governance and oversight.

Who is This Course For?

Most people within an organisation come across data of some kind. This course has been designed to give everyone within an organisation the basic understanding they need to fulfil your legal obligations under the UK GDPR, UK Data Protection and Digital Information Act.

This foundation course is perfect for staff and individuals in an organisation with greater responsibility for the processing and controlling of data. This includes company directors, CEO’s, trustees, privacy officers and data managers.

Why This Course is Important

Collecting, storing, and processing people’s personal and sensitive information is heavily regulated.
The responsibilities you have over the personal data you collect and use can be extremely complex with a need to consider the types of data you control on a wide range of individuals.Data breaches can result (and have resulted) in huge fines and levies being enforced on companies and organisations.

It isn’t only fines your organisation faces in the event of a data breach. The loss of brand trust, customer loyalty and potential fall in share prices can have an even bigger financial impact than the fines themselves.

This course explores the essential elements of the GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Our experienced, enthusiastic and knowledgeable trainers ensure this training is both interesting and easy to learn. To make sure we can deliver the best quality courses to our audience, we cap the maximum number of learners per course to 15.
